Carmen Martinez
In the Image of Stareyes
Carmen Martinez is one of the leading figures of the Stareyes organization, embodying the transition between traditional law enforcement and cutting-edge technological command. Her journey is that of a woman of action whose resilience and sense of duty took her from the streets of Madrid to the far reaches of Earth orbit.
Origins and Journey
Originally from Madrid, Spain, Carmen forged her character and discipline within the Guardia Civil, where she served as a lieutenant. Her background as a police officer gave her natural authority and the ability to lead in the most critical situations. Seeking to give new meaning to her life and skills, she joined Stareyes Humanitary to put her rigor at the service of the most vulnerable.
From Humanitarian Fieldwork to Space Command
Carmen first proved her worth as head of refugee camps on the Chad-Sudan border in 2009. Her almost military organizational skills were crucial in maintaining order and security in the face of adversity. Her rise continued naturally toward the stars: she was appointed second-in-command, then Commander of the first Terran interstellar ship, the Gaïa. Onboard, she ensures crew discipline and the success of Stareyes’ civilian protection and humanitarian missions.
