Gravitational Wave Printer

Vue latérale de l'imprimante à ondes gravitationnelles

A Printer Using Waves...?

Or, to put it more simply, a gravitational printer. It functions like a 3D printer, but instead of manipulating molten plastic, it assembles atomic particles (protons, neutrons, electrons) to create new atoms using the force of gravitational waves. Thus, it can print a copper bar when supplied with raw atoms from the lunar soil. Such printing can only be performed in microgravity or total weightlessness, such as in lunar orbit. Of course, such a printer consumes an enormous amount of energy, which will be supplied by a nuclear fusion power plant. Controlled by dedicated artificial intelligence (Ivan), it will be capable of printing any object in any material, including entire spaceships.

A Shape Compatible with Its Function

It appears as a giant vertical ring. The back of the ring provides access to energy and minerals, while the front allows the created object to exit. Its elevated position on the Moon allows it to benefit from microgravity and a large quantity of minerals. The supply of asteroids can also help with raw materials. The print head can rotate around the circle.
