Valerie Pinewood
Origins and a Prestigious Journey
Valerie Pinewood is the central figure of logistics and housekeeping within the Stareyes organization. Her journey, marked by typically British rigor and resilience in the face of any challenge, makes her an indispensable pillar for the survival and smooth operation of the company’s infrastructure, both on Earth and in space.
Of English origin, Valerie honed her expertise in one of the most demanding environments in the world: the British royal family. Former steward at Clarence House in the service of the future King Charles III, she learned how to manage the impossible, absolute confidentiality, and the art of responding to the most complex needs under constant pressure. Armed with this experience and a network of contacts that allows her to find otherwise unavailable resources, she joined Stareyes to give new meaning to her talent.
A Shadow Heroine
Valerie distinguished herself brilliantly during the humanitarian disaster in Haiti in 2010. As a key coordinator, she managed the logistics of relief efforts, overseeing the vital supply of food and medical equipment in extreme conditions. Her formidable efficiency and dedication earned her international recognition and a promotion to the strategic position of Chief Steward aboard the Gaïa spaceship.
Personality and Appearance
Onboard, Valerie embodies the image of traditional English upbringing: always impeccable in her navy blue and purple Stareyes uniform, she presents a strict appearance, with her hair tied back and characteristic eyeglasses. Behind this façade of rigid and demanding professionalism, she nevertheless hides great humanity and a subtle sense of humor. She has become a precious confidante for Stareyes’ leaders, capable of breaking the ice during moments of relaxation while maintaining constant vigilance over the stocks of food, water, and air essential to the crew.
